LG G3 Release Date: LG's Newest Flagship Launches Worldwide On Friday, Can The 'World's Best Android Phone' Keep Its Lead?

Announced late last month and until now exclusive in South Korea, the LG G3 release date will soon be launching the device in the international market - and that day is on Friday, June 27.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the smartphone will soon be arriving in other markets beginning on Friday. In the report, the first wave of the LG G3 handsets would hit Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines. More Asian markets should get the Android device soon after.

In the report, the Middle East as well as the EU should get the device in July with a reported price of about €615/£500.

In case you missed the event last month, the LG G3 is easily among the top (if not the top) Android phone to date. The smartphone packs a 5.5-inch display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440) resolution, among the best in the business. Other specs include a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.5GHz, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, and 3GB of RAM.

Behind the device lies the 13MP primary shooter while there is a 2.1MP front cam for selfies and video calls.

The Android phone is powered by a 3,000mAh battery, and runs on Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box. Just like the G2, the LG G3 has the same button setup at the back which is composed of the power button and the volume rockets just below the camera sensor.

In addition to the LED flash at the right side of the rear camera, LG also introduced another sensor - a laser - which is said to significantly improve focus times and night shots. There is also a 'lower-end' variant of the LG G3, which packs only a Full HD display and 2GB of RAM.

Even before the device was already in the rumor mill because of its industry-leading specs. But now that Samsung is gearing for its Galaxy Note 4 release, let us see if LG can handle the competition.
