JYJ Membership Week Kicks Off With 7,000 International Fans

JYJ showcases an extraordinary event for their fans.

On June 28 at SETEC, JYJ started their 2012 JYJ Membership Week event. This event was for CJes Entertainment members. They created a fan event that was unlike any other. This event allowed fans and the stars to talk with one another an create unforgettable memories. They spent 3.7 million dollars to create this event and used a 105,000 sq. ft.  location. In the third exhibition they had 2-D shows, JYJ history walls, performance attire galleries and other photo walls. In the second exhibition there were many pieces of work done by famous producers who examined JYJ as a group. JYJ's documentary is also in this exhibition. In the first exhibition, fans are able to meet with JYJ starting from June 28 to July 2.

For 4 days, 10,500 korean fans and 7,024 Japan fans were able to attend this fan meeting. On June 28 and 29, the Japan airports were packed with fans flying over to Korea. 14 airports and 116 flights were made for the fans to reach Korea. This set a record for most international flights to Korea. C Jes also prepared rooms, buses and tour guides for all the fans.

Incheon Int'l Airport officials stated, "This was the most amount of flights we've seen in coming from another country. We've never had this many even for a national event."

Local media also commented, "The most we've seen for people to come see a star was 3,500 people. 7,000 fans is a record."

C-JeS commented, "As the 'korean wave' continues to grow, we are going to need new and fresh ideas. This event alone cost us 3.7 million dollars to create new and interesting events for the fans. We've also prepared water, snacks and other goodies for the fans as well. We think of this as an investment for the future of JYJ and all the fans who have stayed by them." The continued with, " This event also had "experience" systems which allowed the fans to meet JYJ on a more personal level. We feel that because of these extra exhibitions that more than double the amount of people we expected came."

Jaejoong commented, "We are so thankful to all of our Korean and Japanese fans for coming," and Junsu added, "For this event, it is our fans who are the heroes, not us." 

On the other hand, Yoochun was not able to make it to the opening ceremony due to a viral disease.
