LeBron James Called 'The Whore Of Akron!' By Scott Raab! Esquire Writer Says 'Cleveland Fans Lack Pride And Dignity’ As They Anticipate Return Of LeBron!

Scott Raab is a writer for Esquire who wrote a book about LeBron James entitled "The Whore Of Akron." He is one of Cleveland's biggest sports fans (not just the Cavaliers). Raab isn't excited about the prospect of LeBron returning to Cleveland, to say the least.

Just like every Cleveland sports follower, Raab knows that LeBron James was the best thing that happened to the city's sports teams, so it was all the more painful when he made "The Decision."

Now that the city of Cleveland is trending, it reopens old wounds. Cleveland has just traded Jarett Jack and other players to clear salary cap so they can offer the maximum. It's not difficult to guess who it's for.

Cleveland is not only rolling out the red carpet for LeBron. He might have a welcoming party that could put The Prodigal Son to shame.

From CBS' Turner and Rich radio show (transcribed by CBS Boston local): "That's the part that really sickens me a bit because whatever LeBron's doing, whatever LeBron's agent is doing, whatever [Cavaliers owner] Dan Gilbert is doing, if the fans are that devoid of any sense, any pride, any dignity, if that's what you've reduced yourself to is begging some guy who didn't just walk away - but really took an hour-long dump on you. And you can't wait for more. That's not the agent's fault, it's not the player's fault and it's not Dan Gilbert's fault. That's your fault."

"Is all forgiven? For a lot of people, apparently yeah. I really don't feel proud of the Cleveland fan base at this moment," Raab said. "I'm hard-pressed to come up with a single example anywhere in the world of a case where a player doesn't just leave - of course, nobody left quite like LeBron left - but someone who really rubbed the city's face in filth, and they can't wait to get punched again. Can't wait."

The Cleveland fans can't wait to win, and the best way to win is to have the best players. That seems to be the bottom line for Cleveland fans, and we can't really condemn them for it.
