LG G3 Mini Release Date: Rumor Claims LG G3S Is A Dual-SIM 'Mini' Flagship, But Where Is The G3 Mini?

Right after LG unleashed its monster smartphone in the G3, rumors of a potential LG G3 mini release date already surfaced through leaks and rumors.

However, more than a month after the G3 has been released, there is still no word nor additional details about the rumored handset.

What's interesting here is that a new report claims that LG will soon launch a device dubbed as LG G3S, which is a dual-SIM version of the G3 mini.

It could just be a minor mistake, but isn't it a lot easier to promote an upcoming version of the device (G3s) once the original (G3 mini) has already been launched?

According to the report by Android Authority, notorious leakster EV Leaks provided the hint for the G3S, and even posted an alleged overlook for the device.

Unfortunately, no further details have been revealed just yet, though for the record the LG G3s will certainly be a midranger with similar specs as the recently announced LG G3 Beat. The Android smartphone packs a 5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, a quad-core CPU running at 1.2GHz, Snapdragon 400 chipset, and an impressive 2GB RAM.

Other specs of the Android handset include a 16GB built in storage, a microSD card slot, an 8MP primary shooter in at the back and a 2MP front cam. It runs on Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box and is powered by a 2,540mAh battery.

Like the LG G3 Beat shown above, the LG G3S is expected to sport the same stylish and premium-looking design of the G3. Some of the expected layouts include the button placing at the back, thin bezels and the brushed metal finish over a durable plastic casing.

The G3 Beat is already available in China for only over $400, so that means other 'mini' versions of the LG flagship should be tailored for markets outside of Korea and China.

We will bring you more details about the alleged dual-SIM LG G3S in the coming days.
