Nicole Scherzinger Calls Pussycat Dolls Period a `Dark Time'; Says One Direction Owes Her Money, Or At Least a Goodie Bag

Nicole Scherzinger, the former Pussycat Doll, invented the boy group sensation One Direction, but never got the credit she deserved.

Nicole Scherzinger brought together Harry, Louis, Zayn, Liam and Niall to form One Direction during her time as panelist on Britain's X-Factor. She said "I was like, 'What?'... Where's my cut? Seriously? I'm a giver, what can I say. I gave the world One Direction."

Nicole Scherzinger was always annoyed with Simon Cowell for not giving her any credit when it comes to One Direction. Nicole said "I'm happy for their success."

"I can't believe I put together the group and then I'm at Walmart buying One Direction bags for my nieces. Like, something is wrong with this picture," she said.

Nicole Scherzinger added "Can you guys please send me a box of One Direction goodies? Somebody help me out here. Not only do I not get a cut, but now I'm buying bags for my nieces, with the boys' faces on it."

Nicole Scherzinger told The Guardian Newspaper "I'm recklessly ambitious. In America, ambition is a good thing - it's hunger, it's drive. I hate it when people use the word negatively."

The singer, 36, called her Pussycat Dolls days her "loneliest time."

"My 20s were fruitful but not enjoyable. Being in The Pussycat Dolls was probably my loneliest time because I was quite insatiable. Nothing was ever good enough and I didn't know how to take a break. My 30s have definitely been more chillaxed," she said.

Scherzinger has been in an on-again, off-again relationship with British Formula One driver Louis Hamilton for six years. She shared a short Instagram video of her singing live with her band getting ready for an appearance British Channel 4's Sunday Brunch on Sunday.
