‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’: Doomsday Confirmed By 'Man Of Steel' Easter Egg? The Villain That Killed Superman Is A Worthy Opponent For The Justice League!

Despite the alleged Kevin Smith fiasco, “Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice” rumors will live on! An easter egg spotted in “Man Of Steel” provides clues to the villain that the Trinity (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman) will allegedly face: Doomsday!

The rumor about that alliance came from JoBlo:

“Her character will be introduced as “Diana” in the film initially before we ever see her as Wonder Woman. She will have a fair amount of screen time and will team up with Batman and Superman for the final battle against an un-named villain who may be working or controlled by Lex Luther(sic).”

From there, we try to identify the intriguing villain which the DC Trinity has to face--strong enough to require all of them banding together. Of course, Doomsday will be one of them, but Bleeding Cool has reportedly seen it:

“Bleeding Cool sources who have been rather reliable in the past have told us that they have seen Batman V Superman designs for the character of Doomsday. In the comics, Doomsday was the creature who killed Superman, in an epic battle across all the Superman titled, culminating a battle composed entirely of splash pages drawn by Dan Jurgens.”

They advise against taking bets, though, as movies this ambitious are bound to have changes and we do not know the context of the designs they saw:
“Now, of course, much can change in the production process. This may be used purely for flashback purposes on the screen, looking at the life (and death) of Superman. It may be purely for promotional efforts to accompany the film. Or it may not make it to the final cut.
But as of now, it looks like Doomsday, the killer of Superman, be in the next film [Sic]… will Superman make it out alive?”

Another clue is this Easter egg from the “Man of Steel” Blu-ray features:
