Motorola Moto X+1 Also Called Moto X2 Release Date, New Leaked Photos, Specs, And Rumors [PHOTO]

A new photos of a Motorola device running Android L have been leaked, and many think it could be the Moto X+1.

A touch larger than the Nexus 5, this device was shown running what might be a current (but still an early preview) version of L. Though it's origin has not been entirely verified, this leak reportedly came from a Motorola or Verizon employee.

The mystery device may also be AMOLED, which is what Motorola leaned heavily on to make the Moto X so special. This device was also said to be verified as "legit" in a Hangouts chat, but there was nothing offered up as to what "legit" refers to. Legitimately a device, or legitimately the Moto X+1?

Bigger than a Nexus 5 suggests a 5-inch screen or better, and we've heard the Moto X+1 may end up toting a 5.2-inch screen - so this fits. AMOLED is also said to be incoming on the new flagship, as is 1080p - another thing this video is claiming.

The Moto X has multiple CPUs, which make up the X8 computing system, some of which are dedicated to certain tasks, in order to optimize battery life. As such, it has the 2-core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro, a 320 Adreno GPU for graphics, one dedicated contextual computing core and 1 dedicated core for processing natural language.

You won't experience any staggering or stuttering on the UI as seen in other smartphones. This has to do with the fact that the Moto X is very close to Vanilla Android and has a 720p display. So, the Moto X has a 1280×720 super AMOLED display. The display comes in at 360 pixels per inch and has a very bright, saturated color thanks to the AMOLED display.

Yet another report suggested that Motorola may possibly release the Moto X2 sometime in summer 2014, because the company has indicated as much at a Q&A session at this year's Mobile World Congress. It categorically stated that the next version of Moto X+1 will be launched sometime in "late summer."

Many take this to mean that the Moto X+1 will be launched in august.
