iPhone 6 Rumors: New Apple Phone's CPU Will Finally Breach The 2GHz Barrier, A8 Chip Should Still Support 64-Bit Apps

The latest iPhone 6 rumors give us a glimpse of what the internals of the new Apple phone would be like. And it sure would be powerful.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the iPhone 6's chipset would be an improved one, which should be called A8 considering how the naming scheme of Apple works.

However, there would reportedly be a major change for the chipset. While it will still feature dual cores, it would get a huge bump in processing power, which would now get up to 2GHz of power.

In comparison, the iPhone 5s only packs a 1.2Ghz so that would mean lightning fast performance for the new iPhone 6. Considering that it would get a bigger display, more Apple fans would surely do whatever it takes to get this iPhone which is a first of its kind.

In the report, the 64-bit compatibility in apps is rumored to still be present. The chipsets are expected to be supplied by TSMC together with Samsung.

As the months turn into weeks, anticipation for the upcoming iPhone is certainly esccalating to newer heights. And with confirmed reports of a bigger 4.7-inch display, and a much bigger 5.5-inch screen, this iPhone could be a vital turning point in Apple's direction when it comes to developing smartphones.

For some time, Apple has claimed that they do not need bigger phones because 3.5, and then 4-inchers were the standard phone size. Apparently, recent trends in smartphone photography and entertainment have pushed Apple to shift its stand.

Now that the Cupertino manufacturer will officially enter the phablet competition, it should be able to take on the soon to be released Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and other existing phablets today with high-end specs and affordable price tags. Can Apple still be able to deliver the best features and specs compared to its rivals?
