Netflix has announced taht "Hemlock Grove" season 2 release date was be yesterday July 11.

The entire season has been available on the streaming service as of 12:01 a.m. Friday.

Most of the cast is returning for the new season. Olivia Godfrey (Famke Janssen)will return despite being buried in season 1. Bill Skarsgard (Roman Godfrey) and Landon Liboiron (Peter Rumancek) will also be returning.

Shelley Godfrey will be back but as new actress Madeleine Martin (replacing Nicole Boivin).

"Shelley was very much the beating heart of the show last season, and really, the only pure soul in the otherwise toxic stew of 'Hemlock Grove,'" showrunner Charles Eglee told Huffington Post. "I was so moved by the character last year."

"It's definitely a new, evolved Shelley," promised Martin. "She is going through such a big transition this season."

Madeline Brewer (Miranda Cates, a graphic novelist that enters the town) and JC MacKenzie have also been added. MacKenzie will be Mr. Big Bad, whose character details have not yet been released.

Season 2 also promises a very graphic depiction of the human to werewolf transformation.

It's been about three months since Peter left Hemlock Grove and Liboiron said his character has a big burden.

"He's still mourning the death of Letha and the loss of his best friend and sort of forcing himself to try and move on," he told IGN.

"Then Linda, his mom, runs into some trouble which forces him to go back to Hemlock Grove, and there's also powers at be that are dragging him back. He starts running into conflict after conflict. He's trudging through his mourning into this new kind of adventure."

Skarsgard added that the loss of Peter and Roman for each other-they had a unique friendship-has impacted them both.

"Peter's the only one who understood what he is, except for his mom and and Shelley of course. And Shelley's gone, and he has no relationship with his mom anymore," he said.

Peter knew what Roman was and what he was capable of, and that kind of deep understanding is something that Roman never felt before in his entire life. He never had someone who could understand him on that level, on the supernatural level. That's a bond he doesn't have with anyone else."

Eli Roth in a statement when announcing the second season: "The worldwide fan response to Hemlock Grove was phenomenal. Netflix members loved the potent combination of sexy monsters, mystery, and the dark family soap opera that ended with a huge twist, leaving audiences worldwide totally shocked. Season 1 was just a warmup for what we have in store for Season 2. Get ready to be scared in ways you never expected."
