Wonder Girls Wanted miss A's 'Bad Girl Good Girl" but JYP Said No

On July 2nd, an episode of Mnet "Beatles Code Season 2" featured the appearances by K-Pop idol groups Wonder Girls and f(x).

During the show, Wonder Girls selected the song "Bad Girl Good Girl" as a song they have a secret history with. Wonder Girls member Yeeun revealed, "When miss A came out, producer JYP had me listen to the song after saying "The song is really good. miss A is going to debut with this song".

Yeeun continued, "At the time, we (Wonder Girls) were getting ready for a comeback as well and the song was really good. I bravely asked, 'Can you give this song to us?' and Park Jin Young (JYP) answered 'No, this song isn't a good match for you guys'".

Sunye of Wonder Girls also commented, "Whenever JYP writes a song, he thinks about the music video and the concept of the song at the same time. As you saw from miss A's music video, the concept was to dress simply and perform a complex dance routine. From the beginning, he had thought the song would be a good match for miss A".

Yeeun concluded, "At the time, I was really upset. We could pulled it off as well." Regarding miss A's explosive popularity after their debut with "Good Girl Bad Girl", Yeeun said "I was regretful. I wish I had tried harder to get the song".
