Selena Gomez: Cyber Bullying Not Tolerated; Selena Gomez Instagram Follower Wished Cancer on the `Come and Get It’ Singer

Selena Gomez blasted one of her Instagram followers for cyber bullyin. The cyber-bully wrote a hateful comment to Gomez's time line.

The "Come and Get It" singer usually doesn't respond to rumors and messages on social media, but things got heated when one of Selena's followers wished cancer on the singer and her family on Instagram.

Selena Gomez has been consistently against bullying. On Saturday, July 12, a woman wrote that Gomez wrote she should "burn in hell with cancer." Gomez blasted the "distasteful young woman," reminding her that "you can dislike someone but to wish something that could happen to you or your family is uncalled for sweetheart."

"The comment you left about cancer was absurd. How distasteful of a young woman," Gomez wrote. "I have gone through that battle with fans and family members. You can dislike someone but to wish something that could happen to you or your family is uncalled for sweetheart."

"You won't be winning 'anyone's' heart that way," she continued. "Trust me. Educate yourself a tad more. God bless love. Be an amazing woman. You're beautiful."

Gomez captioned the post, "Honestly, I don't speak up much because it's simply *always* taken out of context. But I don't take bullying well. I have seen too much to not say anything."

This isn't the first time Gomez has spoken before about bullying. In March, Selena told the We Day California youth conference crowd to "have each others' backs." She said, "It does more than knock the wind out of you. It crushes you when people try to tell you you're not good enough  ... Please just be kind to each other and love and inspire people...Let's change the game. The most important thing is that we learn and we continue to learn from each other."
