Ryan Gosling And Eva Mendes Can’t Wait For Baby’s Arrival? ‘The Notebook’ Actor To Possibly Retire To Focus On Fatherhood

Earlier this week, Ok! Magazine reported that Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes would soon become parents. The publication claims that the brunette beauty is seven months pregnant and though the couple did not confirm anything, several sources have spoken and even Ellen DeGeneres wrote a congratulatory tweet.

According to an insider of People magazine, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes "literally could not be more excited." Public appearances of the 40-year-old actress are rare but recently, one photographer managed to take a photo of her. However, the alleged baby bump was not visible for Mendes used her handbag as a shield.

One source likewise talked about Gosling's excitement to become a father: "Ryan adores kids. He has such a way with them. He loves being around kids and can't wait to be a dad."

With this, some fans cannot help but wonder whether Rachel McAdams' ex-boyfriend has plans of retiring once he becomes a father. Three years ago, in an interview with The Times, Gosling said that he would love to concentrate on being a father.

"When someone comes along [to make babies with] I don't think I'll be able to do both and I'm fine with that. I'll make movies until I make babies. I have no idea when the handover will happen," said the 33-year-old.

Another issue the couple might be facing is the need for marriage. Prior to the pregnancy news, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes were allegedly on the verge of break-up because of Gosling's refusal to settle down.

One insider claims that Gosling's perspective has not changed much despite the pregnancy of his lady love: "Ryan doesn't think they need to marry just because they are having a baby, but Eva believes it's important to have their lives fully intertwined."

Representatives of the couple have not yet commented regarding the news.
