Theo James And Shailene Woodley’s ‘Allegiant’ Will Be Adapted By ‘Maze Runner’s’ Writer; Author Veronica Roth To Appear On The Film?

As 'Insurgent' gears up for its march 2015 release, several details have been confirmed about Theo James and Shailene Woodley's 'Allegiant' - the third part of the 'Divergent' series.

Hollywood Reporter confirms that writer Noah Oppenheim from 'The Maze Runner' has been enlisted to be responsible for the film adaptation of Theo James and Shailene Woodley's 'Allegiant' part 1.

The final book will have two parts - first to be released on March 18, 2016 whereas the other one will hit theater screens on March 24, 2017. Author Veronica Roth talked about her excitement for the two-part project.

"I heard rumblings that they might and all along I was kinda like, 'Well, it's up to you guys,' but we'll see how they do it. There's some natural breaking point so I'm excited to see exactly where they stop and exactly what they do," she said.

Will the 25-year-old writer have a cameo on the films?

"I don't know yet. I was hoping to maybe demote myself to just a regular extra because the cameo thing required me to do the minimal amount of acting I can do and it was very stressful. I'm not good at it. If I could just be in the background without any focus being drawn to me at all, that would be really great. It was really fun," she explained.

In an interview with Pop Sugar, Roth likewise recalled her amazement when she visited the set of 'Insurgent.': "It was great. All of the sets were incredible. I think I pointed at one - I'm going to be vague and not tell you what it is - and I was like, 'How did you guys find that, that's amazing!' And they were like, 'Oh, we built that.' I'm easily duped apparently."

Apart from Theo James and Shailene Woodlet, other celebrities to make a comeback include Kate Winslet, Zoe Kravitz, and Ansel Elgort.
