iOS 8 Beta 4 Download Release Date On July 28 Or A Week Earlier? Apple To Provide 3 - 4 More Test Versions Before The iOS 8 Gold Master [GM] Launch?

iOS 8 beta 4 download release date may happen 21 days after the arrival of the third test firmware.

According to a confirmation from App Advice source, the launch of the iOS 8 beta 4 download release date is set for July 28, 21 days after Apple released the iOS 8 beta 3.

Based on Apple's launch history for its various beta firmware, the iOS 6 beta 4 arrived 3 exactly 3 weeks after the iOS 7 beta 3 was made available in 2012. Also following the same number of days, the iOS 7 beta 4 came 21 days after the beta 3's arrival in 2013.

If this pattern will prevail, fans can expect that Apple will set iOS 8 beta 4 download release date exactly on July 28. However, the possibility of an earlier launch can't be discarded yet.

Reportedly, the App Advice source also noted that Apple could also schedule the iOS 8 beta 4 download release date a week earlier, specifically on July 21.

Meanwhile, there are no firm details yet regarding the release of the iOS 8 GM or the Gold Master Edition. Also, no confirmation has been made yet regarding the total number of iOS 8 beta firmware coming before the iOS 8 GM and the public release.

As explained on iPhoneWIki, the GM build is commonly "the final build of a piece of software in the beta stages for developers." And usually for the iOS, though there are few exceptions, "it is the final build before a major release."

As noted on iPhone Hacks website, there were generally 6 -7 beta releases before handing the final iOS version to the public. So, would it be safe to expect three to four more iOS 8 beta firmwares from Apple before the Gold Master's arrival or the firmware's launch for the public?

The App Advice post noted that Apple offered 6 iOS 7 betas first before releasing the GM. Meanwhile, only 4 test firmwares were released before the iOS 6 GM was supplied to the Apple developers.

The final version of the iOS 8 is expected to be available this fall 2014, particularly in September. One of the upcoming devices expected to have the iOS 8 is the iPhone 6, which is expected to be available also on September, particularly on the 19th.

Moreover, the iOS 8 beta update offers compatibility support with iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and iPod Touch 5th generation. For the Apple slates, iPad 2, iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPad 4, iPad 3, and iPad Mini Retina will also get the latest mobile operating system.
