2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions: Mike Miller Follows LeBron James To Cleveland! Ray Allen Not Taking Offer--Is This The End For Jesus Shuttlesworth?

The 2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions are rounding out the edges now. LeBron James still wants familiar faces on his new squad, but the Miami Heat tried to keep everyone from reuniting with their departed King.

However, there was no stopping the one they let go. Mike Miller was released by the Heat management through the amnesty clause to lower their luxury tax line-a move that LeBron James deeply resented.

Miller was pivotal in the Heat's championship run in 2013, and his absence was a factor in their shameful loss to San Antonio this year.

ESPN reports:

"Miller was offered a three-year deal worth $12 million by the Denver Nuggets, but instead opted for a two-year deal worth $5.5 million in which the veteran shooter has a player option following next season.

James actively recruited Miller, a close friend and Miami Heat teammate for three years, to Cleveland and a source told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard that it was James' persistence that led Miller to choose Cleveland over other destinations."

Miller would play a bigger role in Denver commensurate to his pay, but the team would struggle, especially against the competitive Western Conference. On that perspective, joining the King's Cavaliers was a no-brainer.

But the choice is not that easy for Ray Allen, the other side of LeBron's double barrel shooters.

Allen has had a storied, Hall of Fame career and will probably be hailed as the league's greatest shooter. At 39 years old, chasing another title with another team may be a stretch. Yahoo Sports has Allen's  reflection:

"When Barry Sanders retired, we were all like, 'What?' He only played 10 years. We wanted him to play more. But he left on his terms. He was great. Ten was probably early. But you don't want to get to the point where you are on a downside and everybody's like, 'You don't seem like you have it anymore.'"

The Cavs will still not be title contenders the way the Heat was when Allen joined. He might not be able to stick around long enough to see the vision come into its full fruition if it takes more than two years.
