iPhone 6 Release Date: New Apple Smartphone Gets Cloned Months Before Release, Looks Strikingly Similar

The iPhone 6 release date is not due until September, and yet a Chinese manufacturer has already 'cloned' it.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the guys at Nowhereelse.fr have gotten a hold of an iPhone 6 clone, dubbed as the Wico i6.

As seen from the image, the Wico i6 certainly looks like most of the dummy iPhone 6's we have been seeing these past few weeks. Of course, no one can guarantee whether the new iPhone 6 does look like any of those supposed dummies.

As we can expect, the Wico i6 is an Android device, and it runs the version 4.4. In fact, the device packs some decent specs which include a 2GB RAM, a 4.7-inch display with 1704 x 960 resolution, quad-core CPU, and 32GB of internal storage.

The iPhone 6 clone's UI is heavily designed to resemble the latest iOS 7 home screen, though if you are Apple user, you would immediately notice the difference.

It is also worth noting that this Chinese manufacturer has boldly been working on a prototype of the iPhone 6 even before the iPhone 6 release date. For sure, a lot of this company's employees would be scratching their heads once the new Apple smartphone launches with a completely different design.

Just like in the past years, the Cupertino manufacturer has successfully shut its mouth when it comes to details about its upcoming devices, particularly the iPhone 6.

Interestingly, the people and partners around Apple are not that eager to be tight-lipped. In June, Foxconn even posted a press release stating that it will be manufacturing the iPhone 6's 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions. Last week, a source in Japan has allegedly confirmed the dimensions of the iPhone 6.

Still, nothing will be official unless it has comes directly from Apple.
