LG G3 Release Date: Is Buying The G3 A Good Decision Even Before The iPhone 6 And Galaxy Note 4 Get Announced?

LG G3 release date is tomorrow for some US carriers including Verizon and Sprint, but before you shell out $199.99 on a two-year contract, is the G3 worthy of your hard-earned cash especially that other handsets of its caliber are still on their way for a release in September or October?

But first, let's see what the rumor mill has in store for us as far as the upcoming smartphones from Samsung and Apple are concerned.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

The new phablet device from Samsung would surely be better than last year's model, and in that case it would surely be among the best smartphones in the market when it launches. Rumored specs for this phone include a 5.7-inch display with the same QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution as the G3's screen. The Samsung phablet would also get 3GB of RAM and a more powerful Snapdragon 805. Samsung would most likely stick with its 16MP rear camera, which is better than the G3's 13MP primary shooter.

Other features which are expected to come with the Note 4 include a fingerprint sensor, water and dust resistance, and even a retina scanner as a recent report claims.

Apple iPhone 6

As of now, all we can surely say about this device is that it will get a bigger screen and updated specs to the iPhone 5s. That includes a 64-bit enabled A8 chip, iOS 8, a better Touch ID home button and a sapphire display. While there are rumors that the Cupertino manufacturer would stick with an 8MP primary camera, it is still possible that Apple will make an upgrade.

Apple is expected to release two versions of the device, and while the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 would not be able to bother the LG G3, the 5.5-inch edition certainly will. Does the LG G3 have enough specs and features to top the best smartphone by Apple?

Conclusion

You still have a few hours to decide whether to be the first in line among LG G3 buyers, or wait for a few months more so you can weigh your options better.
