'World star' Psy left for Australia with much support from fans and the press.

Today at 7 PM (KST), Psy left for Australia. He appeared at the airport wearing his signature sunglasses and a mickey mouse sweater.

He also did a surprise 'horse-riding' dance for everyone who was there to send him off. Many people took pictures and video of his dance.

Before leaving he commented, "I am the same as everyone in wanting to be number 1 on the chart. I will work hard to reach that goal. I am lonely when I go overseas, but due to everyone's support, I am ready to go. Thank you everyone."

Psy will appear on "The X Factor Australia" on October 16 as a guest.

Psy has recently become a global sensation with his song, "Gangnam Style." He has ranked number 1 on iTunes in 30 countries and has ranked number 2 on the U.S. Billboard main single chart HOT 100.

He has also reached 400 million views on YouTube with his music video for "Gangnam Style."

He has appeared on many shows such as the "Ellen Show" and "SNL" and featured on news programs such as NBC and CNN.

He has also recently signed a contract with Justin Bieber's agency and plans to release his first U.S. single sometime in November.
