Could a new form of Mewtwo be among the characters to be included in "Pokemon Z," whose release date has been highly anticipated by fans worldwide?
This seems to be the latest buzz coming from the "Pokemon" camp, as the latest incarnation of Mewtwo has surfaced online, which has coincidentally been timed with the upcoming release of "Pokken Tournament," reported Christian Today.
Mewtwo is the first legendary "Pokemon" to be introduced in the popular gaming franchise.
The well-loved character first made its appearance in the first generation Gameboy titles "Pokemon Red" and "Pokemon Blue."
It then underwent two "Mega Evolutions" and was featured in the best-selling Gameboy 3DS games "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y."
"Dark Mewtwo" may therefore be the third evolution of "Mewtwo," whose inclusion in "Pokemon Z" could provide as major boost to the game whose release date still remains uncertain.
However, fans should keep in mind that "Pokemon Z" is currently being developed by a third-party company instead of its original developers Game Freak and The "Pokemon" Company.
This means that there is still no assurance or official confirmation that Mewtwo will be appearing in other "Pokemon" games or in the "Pokken Tournament."
There are also rumors that "Dark Mewtwo" may be released as another "time-exclusive event gift" similar to the recently released Shiny Xerneas and Shiny Yveltal.
According to Realty Today, the "Pokken Tournament" is a new title released by The "Pokemon Company" and is therefore not similar to any of the previously released "Pokemon" games.
The new "Pokemon" game includes an array of features which was highlighted in the latest trailer released by the developer.
Although The "Pokemon" Company has yet to verify whether Dark Mewtwo will be a playable character game in the Wii U game, there are speculations that it could be included as an end-game boss.
It has been three years since the simultaneous release of "Pokemon X" and Pokemon Y" which has made fans speculate that the release date of "Pokemon Z" may be anytime early next year.
