FTIsland Lead Singer Lee Hongki To Release 1st Solo Album This Month

After controversy surrounding the relationship between FTIsland's Lee Hongki and label president Han Sung Ho, the singer is finally getting a solo debut.

It would seem that the pair have finally solved their issues.

Nov. 4, an FNC Entertainment representative revealed that Lee Hongki will be releasing a solo album this November. Though a specific release date and format has yet to be announced, fans can be assured that Hongki will also begin promotions for the album sometime this month.

"Hongki will release a solo album in the middle of November and will begin promotions in the country," said an FNC Entertainment representative (via Allkpop).

The controversy between Hongki and Han Sung Ho began earlier this year when Han made a statement about Hongki being a "deviant" of the company while Hongki was on tour in Japan with FTIsland. Hongki then expressed disappointment that Han would say something about him while he wasn't there.

Hongki has also expressed more issues with FNC Entertainment in general. Back in August, Hongki made a somewhat playful post on his Instagram about how FNC did not put any effort into promoting FTIsland's comeback song "Puppy."

Though he's not one to hold his tongue, perhaps now that Hongki is getting his own solo debut things are looking up for his relationship with the company. As for fans of FTIsland, this will likely mark the end of the group's promotions this year after a successful Korean comeback and Japanese comeback.

It doesn't seem like a bad deal however, since Hongki has yet to make a solo release since his debut with FTIsland back in 2007.
