A.cian has lost their leader Lo-J (Lee Eui Jin), who departed from the group due to his wish to leave the celebrity limelight, reports Allkpop.
The Korean boy group's official fan café revealed more details about Lo-J's reasons for leaving, and their plans moving forward including promoting as four members until a new member is added during their comeback in early 2016.
"Recently, we have had a lot of questions regarding leader LO-J, so we have decided to summarize an announcement," began the official statement from the group. "Because leader LO-J wanted very much to go back to being a regular person and not a celebrity, our label has decided to honor his wishes even though we were very sad and he has left A.cian."
"Because of this, on the WAPOP stage on October 30th, instead of the five members of LO-J, Jungsang, Hyeokjin, Sanghyun, and Jin.O, we stood on stage as the four members of Jungsang, Hyeokjin, Sanghyun, and Jin.O."
The pop group also appears to have a solid plan for moving forward. 'Soon, we will be adding a new member to the current lineup," the message continued. "And we are working hard, aiming for a comeback early next year."
"We will work hard to become an A.cian that shows all the international and domestic fans who have always been watching over us that we are always growing," the message to fans concluded. "Please give a lot of support to both A.cian and LO-J. Thank you."
