Ed Sheeran Trying Out Different Things On New Album!

Ed Sheeran is prepping up for a new album as he gets ready to follow up his successful release, "X."

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Ed Sheeran revealed that he has plans for his new album and even stating how he has prepared a few of them in his studio.

In addition to that, the singer also promised that his next release would have "great songs" that would surely satisfy his fans who listened to his highly-acclaimed 2014 release.

"I could probably release one of them tomorrow and have people like it," Ed Sheeran said on his new album. "'X' was full of good songs and a couple of great songs, and I feel like on the next couple of records there will be more great songs than good songs."

In the same interview, the English singer-songwriter was asked if he had plans of adding a band in his record, which he quickly confirmed that it wasn't going to happen.
According to the 24-year-old singer, he wouldn't do anything that most artists are already doing.

"Yeah," Sheeran said. "And then I kind of was like, 'There's no one else at my level doing what I'm doing, so why would I want to do what everyone else is doing?' Surely it's better to be different. And I know my show can be better when I do it solo than if I do it with a band."

Furthermore, Ed Sheeran said in the same interview that he might consider getting inspiration from African music after having the chance to explore what that kind of music could offer and possibly include it in his new album.

"There's definitely a press leak in my team somewhere," he said. "But it's true. I know a load of Ghanaian musicians in London, and they've always told me to go over there. I feel like I'd go there and be revitalized. Their music industry isn't like our music industry. Our music industry is really cutthroat and people trying to climb on top of each other to get to the top. They just do it to create music because they love it."

There are no official words regarding the new album from Ed Sheeran but rumors say that he might start work with his follow up once he's done with his tour.
