The 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) are less than three weeks away and fans of Big Bang, known as VIPs, continue to show strong support for the YG Entertainment's preeminent idol group.
Big Bang dominate the popular vote in key categories including UnionPay Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.
Big Bang are edging out EXO in the Best Male Group category with 32.5 percent versus 30.2 percent of the fan vote. However, both acts maintain a significant lead over Super Junior. Super Junior are currently placed third with 16.5 percent.
In the Best Dance Performance Male Group division, Big Bang maintain a small fraction of a lead with 32.4 percent, followed by EXO, who currently have 32 percent of the popular vote.
Big Bang also lead the Best Music Video category for "Bae Bae," with 34.6 percent of fans casting their vote for the quintet versus 29.6 percent of participants who have shown support for dance pop group f(x) and their video for "4 Walls."
In the highly contentious battle for UnionPay Artist of the Year and Song of the Year awards, Big Bang are ahead of EXO. The YG group currently lead the popular vote for Artist of the Year with 30.1 percent, followed by EXO, who received 26.5 percent.
"Bang Bang Bang" has a solid lead for Song of the Year with 31.4 percent of fan votes, while "Call Me Baby" is placed second with 27.1 percent.
Big Bang continue to generate attention from international audiences, following the success of their sequential single releases for the album, "MADE."
The popular group connected with fans throughout Asia and North America, during their MADE tour, which yielded one of the highest grossing concerts in Los Angeles of 2015, according to a recent report published by Billboard.
Fans who were unable to attend the MADE tour and those who wish to relive the excitement of the stadium concerts can view the live concert footage, in its entirety, on DramaFever.
Meanwhile, Big Bang and EXO continue to face-off in their contentious battle for K-pop supremacy, as voting for the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards continues through December 1.
