The mysterious countdown on the Foo Fighters website is still up and the clock is set to end approximately 10 days from now.
Fans are now wondering what the countdown could possibly mean and speculation are coming in if it would mean a new album from the group or possibly be the announcement of "Sonic Highways" season 2.
In a report by Loud Wire, the countdown is said to end on Nov. 22 and would mark the end of their "Sonic Highways" tour.
Their website also states "Nothing's set in stone" and has the font used in "Sonic Highways," which could mean a second season is coming for the Foo Fighters.
Furthermore, photos flashing in the background also shows the band rehearsing, playing together and recording, which could point out to a season 2 of their mini series.
In a recent interview reported by Consequence Of Sound, singer Dave Grohl confirmed that they are in fact planning on another installation of the HBO series.
With no concrete details stated, he revealed that they might consider creating another album but recorded in different parts of the world.
"It might or might not be international," Grohl said about the potential Foo Fighters' "Sonic Highways" season 2. "It might someday be international. It might only be England, or be England and other places, or maybe it's places in America and people from other countries that are inspired by these places in America."
"I mean of all places in the world, England and the UK just seems like it would be like shooting fish in a barrel, ya know? There's just so f-cking much here."
A new album from the group is not far from happening as the singer also revealed while they on tour that they have at least five songs recorded while on the road and could feature different artists, who they featured on their shows, another Loud Wire report stated.
