‘World of Warcraft: Legion’ Release Date Sept. 21, 2016? Expansion To Include New Demon Class

The "World of Warcraft: Legion" finally has an estimated release date: on or before Sept. 21, 2016.

This much was revealed during the recent BlizzCon 2015 keynote, according to Den of Geek.

To sustain the interest among followers of the franchise, Blizzard unveiled during the conference its latest cinematic trailer which gave an impressive preview of "World of Warcraft: Legion."

Teasers have also been filtering in over the past several months which promise that the MMORPG game will certainly be worth the wait.

Earlier reports have hinted that players will do battle with the Burning Legion, as Azeroth comes under attack by demons.

The game's level cap will also increase to 110 (up from 100), while a new demon hunter class will be introduced.

Moreover, "World of Warcraft: Legion" will include new dungeons and raids, a new Honor System and Class Order Halls.

The expansion pack will likewise feature 36 artifacts - one per specialization - plus a whole new continent called the Broken Isles.

The Broken Isles used to be a Night Elf civilization at the heart of Azeroth, but was destroyed and has now become a graveyard.

This place has been turned by Gul'dan into the gateway to the many Legion worlds where the demonic invasion is expected to be far bigger than the Battle of the Ancients.

Among the new dungeons in "World of Warcraft: Legion" include Halls of Valor, Black Rook Hold, Vault of the Wardens, Eye of Azshara, Darkheart Thicket, Neltharion's Lair, Helheim, Suramar City and Violet Hold.

The rumored release date of "World of Warcraft: Legion" was actually spotted a day before the announcement at BlizzCon, GameSpot reported.

Fans discovered the said release date in an online ad posted on the Battle.net website which read, "Expected game release on or before September 21st, 2016."

The ad also featured details of some game pre-purchase bonuses, which included a Level 100 character boost and early access to the new Demon Hunter hero class.

Moreover, the ad announced that the expansion pack's standard edition will sell at $49.99, while the digital deluxe edition, which include an in-game mount, pet, and digital content for "Diablo 3" and "StarCraft 2," is priced at $69.99.

"World of Warcraft: Legion" was first announced at GamesCom in August of this year.
