Nintendo Direct: Still No ‘Pokemon Z’ Release Date; Fans Continue To Wait For Game’s Roll Out

Many "Pokemon" fans were pinning their hopes that the latest Nintendo Direct would be the venue where an official "Pokemon Z" release date would finally be unveiled.

But based on a report by The Guardian, it seems that none of the presentations made by the gaming company during the online broadcast hinted on a release date for "Pokemon Z" but focused on other games being developed for its 3DS or WiiU consoles.

NIntendo confirmed that Cloud Strife will be featured in both the WiiU and 3DS versions of Super Smash Bros.

The popular character from "Final Fantasy VII" will be accompanied by a new stage in the game, and will likewise feature cameos from the game's summons, such as Shiva and Ifrit.

Nintendo also revealed that its collaboration with Omega Force, the developers of "Dynasty Warriors," has produced a new warrior called Linkle who would appear in the upcoming 3DS versions "Legend of Zelda."

Moreover, the Japan-based company announced that its "Star Fox Zero" game, which was initially scheduled for release this month, will instead be rolled out in the United States on Apr. 22, 2016.

According to iDigtial Times, "Pokemon" fans got their hopes up on a possible release date for "Pokemon Z" when Gamefreak's Junichi Masuda took to his Twitter account encouraging them to watch out for Nintendo Direct which was broadcast on Thursday.

"ポケんちは! 明日、11月13日金曜日、朝7時からのニンテンドーダイレクト、みなさん、見てくださいねー!! https://t.co/cqi8WaBlSp," Masuda tweeted.

The tweet, however, was said to be "a general proclamation" of possible "Pokemon" related games and did not in any way confirm that an official release date for "Pokemon Z" would finally be revealed.
