Lorde is set to surprise her fans for her new album, as she revealed how she is back in the studio finishing up her follow up to "Pure Heroine."
According to a recent report by the New Zealand Herald, the singer revealed recently that she is back in the studio continuing works for upcoming release.
Lorde revealed how excited she is to share her new album to her fans, as she went back on her birthday last Nov. 7.
"It's been a studio birthday so far you'll be happy to know," she said.
Meanwhile, Lorde also talked about her new album with BBC recently and revealed how her experience now gave a different twist to her new sound.
She pointed out how different her experiences were when she was writing the first record, while living in the suburbs, as compared to now when she is living the fast-paced city life.
"I wrote the last album about that world which was the suburb where I grew up and populated by my friends and people who were really familiar to me," the 19-year-old singer said about her new album. "Now I'm in a different place every day and I'm with new people every day and it's a different vibe."
However she revealed how she is still unsure as to how her upcoming release would sound like.
"We haven't got some planned out 'this is what it's going to sound like,'" Lorde said of her new album. "I think we're just going to start writing and when it starts to feel right, we'll know that it's right. It's pretty simple really."
"I don't know where the inspiration comes from for stuff. You work and at some point you feel you suck for the first 10 hours and in the last hour in the studio something great happens. You just never know when it's going to come."
