Novak Djokovic lost to Roger Federer at ATP World Tour finals this year, showing the world that he is indeed beatable. The world number one didn't handle the loss to Roger Federer particularly well though. At least he had his loyal wife Jelena Ristic to rant to!
According to ESPN, Novak Djokovic underplayed Roger Federer's win with a bitter comment. He said, "I made a lot of, lot of unforced errors. Just handed him the win, especially in the second set."
To that, Roger replied, "It's not like he played terrible. I know he can play better. Why did he play that way? I'd like to give myself credit for that, quite honestly, yeah."
Sounds like Novak Djokovic was very disappointed in himself for giving away a match that he thought he could play well.
But he later posted a cozy picture with his wife Jelena Ristic and the rest of his team members, showing that all he needs is his family to get over the upset at ATP World Tour finals.
While Novak Djokovic may be bitter about his loss, he certainly knows how to treat his wife Jelena Ristic right. Seeing how he is still the world number 1 and how she just had their first baby, it must have been high time for Novak Djokovic and Jelena Ristic to spend some couple time together. Check out a picture that Novak posted on his Twitter. He loves to show off his beautiful wife!
Days after that, the world number 1 also brought his wife to MTV music awards. What a sweetheart!
Novak Djokovic has his heart in the right place by putting his family life before any Grand Slam, ranking or other career engagements. Even though he is preoccupied with his wife and son, he opened up his schedule to double up with his brother Djordje for China Open.
Novak is a family man through and through.
And it is because of his supportive family that Novak Djokovic could ascend to the slot of being the best male tennis player in the world right now. Recently, he credited his wife Jelena Ristic and especially his son Stefan to help him win the US Open 2015 this year, but the fans are also sure that his brother Djordje also played a crucial role in Novak's success.
