Vogue Calls CL The 'Next Big Pop Supernova' Ahead Of Hallyu Star's New Solo Release

The most shared article on Vogue's website today is hardly about fashion. It's about K-pop star CL.

According to the fashion mag, CL is "the next big pop supernova" of the world who will take the global music industry by storm. The article was released only a few days before CL's highly anticipated release of "Hello Bitches" on Nov. 21.

Vogue introduced its readers to CL on Nov. 16 by highlighting Karl Lagerfeld and Jeremy Scott's interest in the 2NE1 rapper.

"Meet CL, the Next Big Pop Supernova and the World's 'Baddest Female'" was trending as the number one article on Vogue's website on Wednesday, beading out articles about international stars Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid.

Vogue highlighted CL's influence as both a singer and a fashion icon, taking note of the fact that she's walked catwalks and represented international brands, including Maybelline.

"CL never fails to make a statement with her wardrobe," wrote Vogue's Jangle Okwodu.

The Vogue article was released 24 hours before YG Entertainment, CL's company, announced the release of CL's upcoming track, "Hello Bitches." The first news of the song was released in September, and as recently as yesterday it appeared unclear whether CL or another YG Entertainment artist would be releasing new music at the end of November.

CL will release "Hello Bitches" on Nov. 21.
