The four members that compose Seventeen's hip-hop unit starred in "Boys Night Out" for the December issue of Allure.
Vernon, Mingyu, Wonwoo and S.Coups didn't let the rain stop them from making their way to a glamorous midnight party. They modeled suits and statement blazers with a variety patterns, from red plaid to monochromatic houndstooth. Model Yoon So Jung posed with the group and served as the 'chaperone' leading the way.
During the interview, the members talked about the unique 'unit' system of Seventeen that has gained them press. The group is divided into three sub-units: hip-hop, vocal and performance. When asked how the members were divided, Wonwoo revealed, "Like the hip-hop team, the members of vocal and performance chose the team that they wanted. That's why we feel more responsible. Since we personally chose it."
The boys let out their inner fanboys when asked to name their favorite Korean rapper. S.Coups chose Vasco, Mingyu chose PALOALTO and Vernon chose Beenzino. When Wonwoo picked Tablo, he explained, "All of the lyrics he has written have a lot of meaning. I want to be as good writing lyrics, just like him."
Recently, community site Pann revealed that the Pledis Entertainment rookie group was the best selling (physical albums) artist of 2015, amongst the other new idol groups. They sold more copies than Starship Entertainment's Monsta X and YG Entertainment's iKON.
