There are a number of vital elements that go into making a successful K-Pop artist/group and one of those elements is choreography. The way an artist or group presents themselves on-stage can either draw people in, by enhancing a song with an eye-catching performance or become a major deterrent, should the choreography be less than pleasing in the eyes of fans.
It's for this reason artists and groups work as hard as they do, creating and perfecting each and every performance. They know their endless hours of hard work will someday pay off, as fans have a way of squealing quite loudly when they find a certain piece of choreography appealing.
To recognize those artists and groups that have gone above and beyond their fans' expectation with their stage performance, the Mnet Asian Music Awards has created three separate categories. They are "Best Dance Performance Solo," Best Dance Performance Male Group," and "Best Dance Performance - Female Group" and here are this year's nominees:
