K-pop boy band EXO is immensely popular, and now the group has crashed the server of an app.
Naver's V App crashed on Friday following the large amount of fans trying to tune into a live broadcast featuring EXO's members. The live show came ahead of EXO's upcoming winter album.
Fans who tuned in struggled after the app crashed, but the live broadcast continued with EXO's antics.
During the Naver V broadcast, EXO's members celebrated Chanyeol's birthday and discussed the group's upcoming special "Sing For You" album.
Friday's broadcast was the first time EXO has held a live broadcast on Naver V, an app that features Korean celebrities interacting live on air as fans are able to tune in and comment.
EXO will follow up with another broadcast on Dec. 10, the day that "Sing For You" will be released.
According to EXO's agency, SM Entertainment, EXO's "Sing For You" is the K-pop group's special winter album that will suit this time of year.
"Sing For You" will be EXO's second special winter album. The first album, "Miracles In December" was released in 2013, and featured six songs, including an orchestra version of the title song "Miracles In December."
