Say adios to the horse dance, because Psy has something new for the world.
The "Gangnam Style" star is back with his latest single. Dual singles "Daddy" and "Napal Baji (Bell-Bottoms) was released at midnight on Tuesday in Seoul.
2NE1's CL featured on "Daddy" and also appeared in the music video, alongside several other top Korean stars.
Psy's "Daddy" is a catchy dance song with techno funk elements and all the humorous elements that made "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman" international successes.
The music video features Psy as both himself an and elderly man, or "Daddy" as the singer performs in a variety of ridiculous outfits, including a school child's uniform and a ballroom dancing outfit that wouldn't be out of place on "Dancing With the Stars," and performs another unique dance that is easy to mimic and likely to go viral.
CL features on the song as a rapper and vocalist, and in the music video shows us some feats of amazing flips and dancing.
This is her first appearance following the release of CL's first English street single, "Hello Bitches," which was released in November.
Along with CL and Psy, the music video for "Daddy" also featured actress Ha Ji Won as student-pst's teacher and singer-producer Yoo Hee Yeol as the OBGYN who delivers baby-pst.
Psy recently announced that he collaborated on his latest album with American singer will.i.am, and the catchy chorus of "Daddy" ("I got it from my Daddy") begs for comparisonsto will.i.am's 2007 song "I Got It From My Mama."
"Daddy" is the first single off of Psy's latest album, which is called "Psy 7th's Album" or "Chiljip Psy-da" and was also released on Tuesday in Korea.
Within a hour of being released, the music video for "Daddy" had nearly 200,000 views.
Along with releasing "Daddy," Psy also released a music video fro the single "Napal Baji (Bell-Bottoms)" at the same time. The funky retro track makes a mockery of the singer's star fame and successes over the years.
The music video for "Napal Baji" also features a humorous, Psy-style set that fans have become acquainted with ever since the star's 2012 success. IT takes Psy from the red carpet to late night talk shows to a bedroom, all while wearing bell bottoms.
Within two hours of release, "Napal Baji" had over 75,000 views on YouTube.
