Ziva Not Returning To ‘NCIS’ Season 13 ‘In Any Capacity’; Cote De Pablo Still Has Fans’ Hearts?

This must be a bad news for the fans of Ziva, Cote de Pablo's character in "NCIS," as she will not be joining season 13 "in any capacity."

In a report by TV Guide, it was revealed that a number of faces will be returning in the upcoming season, particularly those from Gibbs' past. However, the Chilean-born American actress is not one of them.

The report shared that "As Gibbs (Mark Harmon) recovers from the gunshot wound he suffered at the end of last season, his past will come back to haunt him - in more ways than one."

Showrunner Gary Glasberg disclosed that since Gibbs is on a "difficult situation," he will be talking to several people that might just create some surprise among the show's followers. Unfortunately, Cote de Pablo's Ziva David will never be part of "NCIS" season 13.

"There'll definitely be some surprise appearances of people from our NCIS past, but Ziva David is not one of them," he pointed out.

On the other hand, Emily Wickersham, who joined "NCIS" to play Ellie Bishop, shared with Entertainment Weekly that she is aware of the fact that "there are people who still don't like her."

Although she could feel that the show's followers are slowly accepting Ellie, she hinted that many would still want Cote de Pablo's Ziva to be back in "NCIS" season 13.

"I know that people are very attached to the Ziva character and always were and always will be, which I get," she stated.

"You get invested in these shows and you get very invested in the character," she added. "And Ziva is such a wonderful character - and Cote did such a great job with her."

With this clamor, do you think CBS will eventually decide to bring back Cote de Pablo to play Ziva in "NCIS" season 13?
