Mr. Robot Season 2 Premiere Date, News, Update and Spoilers: Christian Slater will bring his character Edward Alderson back from the dead in Mr. Robot Season 2.
Elliot took down Evil Corp in season 1. Will there be a bigger and tougher challenge for Elliot Anderson and the rest of FSociety?
According to reports, Christian Slater will reprise his deceased character in "Mr. Robot" Season 2, but he might only be brought back in flashbacks.
Slashfilm reported that Slater will play Elliot's (Rami Malek) father Edward Alderson in flashbacks of his son's alter ego.
Mr. Robot's executive producer hasn't given out any real spoilers because the ratings for the upcoming season 2 are already expected to be huge.
"Mr. Robot" executive producer Sam Esmail has talked about some of the show's developments but not any spoilers. Deadline reported that Esmail and the creative and production team is already working on how season 2 will come about.
Mr. Robot is a figment of Elliot's imagination, but Esmail revealed that Mr. Robot will have the chance to talk to other people in Elliot's life..
Esmail revealed that the writers are playing with the idea of Elliot dealing with the drug lord Fernando Vera, played by Elliot Villar.
After the death of his girlfriend Shayla (Frankie Shaw) Elliot may be forced to take revenge.
"It was our intention to make this [a] show of today...that was incredibly important to us," Esmail told Screen Rant
"I always say it is almost like we are making a period piece on modern society so that was all intentional, that was embedded in the writing of every script."
"If you'd told me that would be the case a year ago, I would have laughed," Malek said in a statement.
"This show reaches people on a global scale, people who feel disenfranchised and trapped in a system with the deck stacked against them."
Esmail confirmed "Mr. Robot" season 2's hacking adventures will step out of U.S. borders.
"There are absolutely international themes," Esmail told Los Angeles Times.
"The idea of wanting to change the world, wanting to revolutionize your society, that's not just something that's happening in America. Loneliness has increased, and that's an impact of technology. That's a global thing and doesn't just pertain to America. Who can't relate to that?"
"At its core, the show questions whether society's use of technology is for good or evil," Executive producer Chad Hamilton told the Los Angeles Times..
"Every culture around the globe can relate to this. The collapse of the financial sector in the finale sets up a thread that will go far beyond U.S. Borders."
"Mr. Robot" season 2 premiere is expected to be around June or July 2016.
