In honor of his upcoming birthday, JYJ member Kim Junsu is planning a special charity design project with designer Lee Joo Young.
In conjunction with Makestar, a "global K-pop crowd funding platform," the pair is responsible for 1,215 limited edition T-shirts and bags that will be sold through the site to raise money to benefit charter schools for underprivileged children in Cambodia.
The charity design project will officially launch on Dec. 15 at 12:15pm KST, signaling Junsu's birthday celebrations.
For many years, the Junsu and the other members of JYJ (Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun) have been active participants in various philanthropic endeavors both domestically and abroad. Projects have included raising funds for earthquake victims in places like Thailand and Japan, acting as Goodwill Ambassadors for the United Nations HIV/AIDS campaign, and most recently promoted the World Water Forum held in South Korea earlier this year.
Junsu is also captain of FCMEN, a celebrity soccer team that plays charity matches in Korea and around Asia.
