Ziva David's return to "NCIS" season 13 might just be among the most clamored development in the series as fans want Cote de Pablo's character get reunited with Michael Weatherly's Tony DiNozzo.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Gary Glasberg shared that a surprise is bound to happen in the CBS series, particularly in the love life of the special agent.
"Down the road, we'll continue to delve into the love life of Tony DiNozzo," the executive disclosed.
He continued by saying that "there might be some surprises for people a little further down the road into the season on that one, especially for our diehard fans."
When asked if a "familiar face" is making a comeback in "NCIS" season 13, just like Cote de Pablo's Ziva David, Glasberg appeared evasive with his response.
"I don't know!" he exclaimed. "We'll have to see what unfolds."
"I'm not going to say a word - I'm just going to say we'll definitely be getting into DiNozzo's love life," he added.
However, he divulged that "Margo Harshman will be back playing Delilah, and McGee (Sean Murray) has moved in with her, and that relationship will continue."
"She's been a wonderful guest for us, and we're excited to have her back," he further revealed without any mention about the possible return of Ziva David, which was portrayed by Cote de Pablo, to "NCIS" season 13.
On the other hand, Michael Weatherly shared the post of "NCIS" director Dennis Smith on his Twitter account. It featured a snap of them and the 36-year-old Chilean-born American actress.
Does this mean that a reunion among them in the series will probably happen soon?
It can be recalled that the multi-awarded actress left the show two years ago.
