WINNER is next for 2016.
On Monday, YG Entertainment announced a long-awaited comeback for the agency's K-pop boy band WINNER. WINNER will return to the K-pop scene at the start of 2016, kicking off the upcoming season with a new release on Jan. 11.
WINNER's release will be the first music from the group since they debuted in 2014.
It has yet to be clarified by YG Entertainment whether WINNER will make their return with a single or a new album.
The Jan. 11 release will be the first new music from WINNER for the first time since the release of the group's debut album "2014 S/S."
WINNER also released a Japanese version of the album in Sept. 2014.
Since the group's successful release of "2014 S/S," members of the group have remained active with solo activities including acting and appearing on variety shows.
WINNER's upcoming promotional period will coincide with that of iKON, YG Entertainment's most recent group. iKON will release an album on Dec. 24, and the promotional periods of both YG male K-pop idol groups will interact.
