The horror video game has come a long way since being an indie game that gamers enjoy playing to get their fix of jumpscares and adrenalin rushes. While the game just recently concluded its game series and came out with a new concept open-world video game, it’s creator reportedly ahs something else up his sleeve.
Creator Scott Cawthon has been working on publishing a novel based on his horror video game series. It already is a feat to release four games in two years, but Cawthon pushes the bar even higher with something different.
A book may seem like an unlikely move but the creator made it to give a better background of the games and expand the world it exists in.
"This is not something recent; I've been working alongside a professional writer for the last ten months crafting this story, and I'm very excited about the finished product. It expands the mythos and reveals a human element never before seen in the games," as stated on Steam.
The “Five Nights At Freddy’s: The Untold Story” will be released in Kindle on Dec. 22, 2015 and will be printed and distributed in paper next year, according to Kotaku.
