After 11 years of ripping television especially reality shows, "The Soup" is finally ending its run in E! But even though the show is bowing down, it bowed down with glory with the support of its star-studded cast.
According to US Magazine, "Among the celebrities in attendance were CNN anchor Larry King, his (Joel McHale) 'Community' costar Ken Jeong, 'The Office's' Kate Flannery and 'Parks and Recreation's Adam Scott." The guest stars were grouped in one area during the show looking like they were on a telethon with no clear reason. Aside from the fake telethon, the guest stars were also calling other stars as a replacement.
The highlight of the final episode of "The Soup" was the countdown of top 11 clips as well as top 11 characters that appeared on the show. Everyone in the past 11 years could be targeted - including popular E! personalities. According to Hollywood Reporter, "McHale threw jabs at past and present E! talent, including Ryan Seacrest, Kim Kardashian West, Kris Jenner, Ryan Lochte and Caitlyn Jenner."
The Hollywood Reporter also added that McHale ending his run with "The Soup" would mean he would focus his efforts in acting. The end "The Soup" as the much loved TV show is a bit of a bad news but McHale ending his gig in this show to focus on acting could actually lead to something amazing - the development of "Community" movie. There have been rumors about the upcoming movie version but there is no definitive news yet.
However, Variety reports of enthusiasm and interest of the comedy TV series is high among its actors. Ken Jeong "will do anything" for the TV series and he also noted that Joel McHale is also interested in making a movie version of "Community."
"Community" started its first five seasons in NBC before being picked up by Yahoo for its sixth and final season.
