Fans Claim SBS Staff Treated BTOB Members Rudely During 'Gayo Daejun'

K-pop fans are speaking out against the alleged mistreatment of boy group BTOB by the staff of SBS's Gayo Daejun.

On Dec. 28, a member of the Korean community site Pann shared frustrations with other users about the TV network's end of the year music show.

"I'm angry about more than half of BTOB's stage being cut, but what I'm angrier about is the attitude of the SBS staff," wrote the fan as translated by AllKpop. "As soon as [BTOB's] stage began, some man said ignorantly, 'Why are they doing a musical again?' which makes me feel really offended,"

Although the song BTOB performed at the televised year end music festival was over four minutes in length, for broadcast, it was cut down to just under three. Fans also allege that the BTOB members likely heard the SBS staffer's comment through their in-ear headsets.

"I'm really upset, especially with the staff who looked down on them with the musical concept," another user commented according to NetizenBuzz. "If a staff is looking down on a singer like this, I can't imagine what other worse things were said backstage."

A third comment read, "Seo Eunkwang really looked so down when he was called up with the leader line and they didn't let him talk. He's always been the one to smile widely and help others cheer up if they're not feeling well and yet he was the one this time sighing."

Additionally, some fans pointed out that BTOB had to return to Korea from their overseas schedule, traveling for seven hours just to perform.
