Popular singer and recent reality TV personality Jung Joon Young has officials signed with C9 Entertainment.
On Jan. 5, Korea Times announced that Jung Joon Young signed with the new label after his previous contract with CJ E&M expired in November. Not only will the vocalist be joining the new label but his fellow member from Jung Joon Young Band have also signed with C9 Entertainment. The group's contract is with C9 Entertainment's sub-label "REALIVE."
C9 Entertainment is also home to popular female soloist Younha and winner of Unpretty Rapstar Cheetah.
Jung Joon Young rose to fame after his time on Mnet's Superstar K4 in 2012. He finished within the top three and although he was eliminated earned a number of fans with his unique music style. Since then he has gone on to release a number of successful singles and EPs. In 2015 Jung Joon Young changed it up by returning as the front man of his own self-named band alongside three prominent musicians from the Korean indie scene.
In addition to his music, Jung Joon Young has become one of the stars of KBS 2TV's 2 Days & 1 Night. He also appears on JTBC's newest variety show Old House, New House.
