One of the male leads of Reply 1988, Ryu Jun Yeol, was involved in a minor car accident while on the way to film the final episodes of the show. Fortunately, the actor was not hurt.
On Jan. 11, an entertainment industry insider informed Korean media outlet Sports Daily, "Ryu Jun Yeol was heading to the filming location last weekend when the car accident occurred."
"Luckily, he was not hurt, and after clearing up the incident, he continued toward the filming location," the insider concluded.
An insider who works at Jun Yeol's entertainment agency, C-JeS Entertainment, also reported on what happened. "There was a accident over the weekend, but it was only a minor fender-bender."
Fans of the show need not wait for the star to recover, according to the agency. "Since he didn't need to go to the hospital, he just headed straight to the filming site."
With only two episodes left to go, the 20-episode drama is in the final stages of filming. Jun Yeol is scheduled to film every day until the final episodes are broadcast. Luckily, he was not injured in the car accident, so he will be able to continue filming throughout the until the second-to-last episode airs on Friday, Jan. 15.
