K-pop idol Jung Yong Hwa has found some "Empathy" with Sunwoo Junga.
The CNBLUE frontman and the female soloist teamed up on their recent Empathy Collaboration Project. On Friday, the pair released an EP and multiple music videos.
"Fireworks" and "Hello" were written by the two musicians; Jung Yong Hwa wrote "Hello" for Sunwoo Junga, while Sunwoo Junga wrote "Fireworks" for the CNBLUE singer.
The artists wrote the lyrics for the songs together.
"Hello" is a wintery soft rock ballad, while "Fireworks" is a more upbeat electronic-rock song.
Jung Yong Hwa is CNBLUE's main vocalist. This is his second collaboration outside of the K-pop world, following 2015's "Checkmate" duet with Singaporean singer JJ Lin. He is managed by FNC Entertainment.
Sungwoo Junga is a popular Korean indie singer. She is signed under Magic Strawberry sound.
The Empathy Project was put together in collaboration between Magic Strawberry sound and FNC Entertainment. The music video for "Fireworks" was uploaded to Magic Strawberry sound's official YouTube page, while FNC Entertainment released "Hello."
According to the K-Pop Herald, Jung described the collaboration as fate.
"I thought that it was meant to be -- destiny," said Jung.
