Former Kara member Goo Hara has uploaded a heartfelt handwritten note to Kara fans after the group disbanded earlier this month.
In the letter, Hara talked about leaving the group and the path she plans to take in the future.
"There have been a lot of rumors popping up lately, causing people to worry," she wrote. "It was not an easy decision for me, but I want to slowly start walking forward in a new, different place."
"Because I've met people who will help on that path, I feel at ease," the singer continued.
"Being a Kara member for so long, I experienced and felt so many things that people at my age haven't. And I received a huge amount of love from fans," the singer continued.
Hara then expressed that she felt she let her fans down, but tries to ease their worries. "I'm not good enough, but I will always live by being an honest and credible person and I intend to work even harder in the future."
"I didn't want to regret any of the memories from the time I was with Kara," she explained. "Respecting the decisions of all the members of that group that I was with for nine years, I'm ready to cherish those memories as I begin on a new path!"
Hara ended the letter by thanking fans and promising to return with better news in the future.
Earlier this month, the contracts of three Kara members expired. Goo Hara has joined agency Key East.
