DAY6 Give TWICE's 'Like Ooh-Ahh' A Boost In Coffeeshop Rock Cover

Have you become hooked on rookie girl group TWICE's debut "Like Ooh-Ahh"? Their label mates DAY6 certainly have.

On January 17, the JYP Entertainment's rookie Korean band DAY6 released their fresh and unique take on TWICE's track through the group's official YouTube. Unlike the original, DAY6 chose to forego the synth-pop and electronic sounds that surround the original for their own classic instrumental flair. With a sweet piano riff running through from start to finish, accompanied by gentle drum beats and guitar riffs, DAY6 turn TWICE's R&B dance pop hit into a nice coffee shop style performance piece.

DAY6 and TWICE are JYP Entertainment's latest debuted addition to their musical roster. DAY6 debuted in September 2015 with their EP The Day. Although the group didn't promote their EP on Korean music shows The Day succeeded on the charts, taking sixth place in Korean and second on Billboard's World Album Charts. As JYP Entertainment wants them to experience the triumphs and turmoil of being a real band, the group has focused their attention on small club stage performances to gain their popularity.

Meanwhile, the members of TWICE debuted in October 2015 after competing in the reality competition program Sixteen. TWICE and their debut title track "Like Ooh-Ahh" have received a lot of love over the last few months. They even won "Best New Female Artist" at the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
