Anticipation for WINNER's official 2016 comeback continues to build, with three teasers and a pre-release track already giving fans a taste of what they can expect when the group makes their long awaited return.
What better way to preview WINNER's new music than to hear it covered by their equally talented label mates at YG Entertainment?
After covers from Lee Hi, Taeyang, and most recently Akdong Musician, G-Dragon has been confirmed to be the next artist to cover one of WINNER's upcoming songs. According to reports, G-Dragon will soon reveal a cover of WINNER's "Baby Baby."
So far, fans are excited by the promotion strategy that YG Entertainment has taken to promote WINNER's comeback.
"This promotional strategy makes up for the long awaited comeback. Omg," said Babyblackjack on Allkpop.
According to YG-Life, "Baby Baby" is G-Dragon's first cover song since debuting with Big Bang. His cover of the song follows not only fellow YG Entertainment artists, but also outside K-pop artists Zion. T and Dean.
"Baby Baby" will be one of WINNER's two title tracks planned for release on Feb. 1. The other title track will be "Sentimental," which was recently covered by Akdong Musician. The final song planned for "EXIT: E" mini album release is a solo song from member Nam Taehyun entitled "I'm Young."
WINNER's 2016 comeback is being called "Exit Movement" and is expected to be a year-long project. The release dates past Feb. 1 have yet to be announced, but may follow the pattern of Big Bang's "MADE" project that lasted the entire summer of 2015.
