White Angels who have waited for 15 years are now rejoicing around the world.
H.O.T's Moon Hee Jun and Kangta (Ahn Chil Hyun) will reunite for the first time since 2001 at Moon's solo concert later this month. Concert organizers announced the collaboration on Monday, ahead of four concerts planned to celebrate Moon's debut as a singer.
Kangta will join Moon Hee Jun onstage at the concerts, held on Jan 23-24 and Jan 30-31 in Seoul.
The two were part of SM Entertainment's first idol group, which debuted in 1996. H.O.T is remembered by many as the first true K-pop boy band.
H.O.T disbanded in 2001, five years after their debut, but fans have collectively clamored for a reunion by the group for years.
Since disbanding, the members have pursued successful solo careers. Moon Hee Jun, the former leader of H.O.T, has release several solo albums and became a popular MC. Kangta was the sole member of H.O.T to stay under SM Entertainment, and is currently a creative director at the company.
Moon Hee Jun has since put down speculation that Kangta's appearance at his concert comes ahead of the group's union.
