CNBLUE lead singer Jung Yong Hwa became the first-ever male Korean celebrity to grace the cover of Elle China for the fashion magazine's February 2016 issue, according to his agency FNC Entertainment.
Making the feat even more impressive is that the said issue will be a special edition celebrating the magazine's 70th anniversary, reports The Korea Times.
Fans can start collecting the magazine starting on February 5 when it comes out not only for the handsome photos of the dapper idol, but also a full interview feature.
The cover title "Voice of Elle" is also the name of the award the idol received at the 2015 Elle China Style Awards, where he notably was the only K-pop singer to attend and perform, reports The Korea Herald.
An excerpt from the magazine interview reveals where he gets inspiration for his music: "I usually get inspired by what happens around me on a daily basis; this is why I'm capable to writing so many songs."
Jung Yong Hwa's Elle China cover is yet another indicator of his rising popularity in China, helped by the strong following of his pop rock band CNBLUE.
Last January, CNBLUE performed to sold-out concert crowds in Beijing as part of their ongoing Come Together Asia tour, and the band is slated to again thrill Chinese fans in Nanjing city on March 12.
