After 18 long months, YG Entertainment's boy band WINNER have finally returned with the EP fans have been waiting for.
Excitement for the K-pop group's latest release sent Exit: E to the top of more than a dozen music charts around the world.
Released on Monday, Feb. 1 at midnight, WINNER's comeback album rapidly topped eight of South Korea's online music charts. The EP's two lead singles, "Baby Baby" and "Sentimental," quickly landed at number one and two on music charts for Naver Music, Melon, OllehMusic, Genie, Bugs, Soribada, Mnet, and Monkey3Music.
The popularity of Exit: E extended beyond the borders of South Korea as well, reaching number one on iTunes charts in 11 nations including Hong Kong, Macao, Malaysia, and the Philippines. WINNER also ranked number 17 on the U.S. iTunes chart.
Both "Baby Baby" and "Sentimental" were written by members Nam Tae Hyun, Song Mino, and Lee Seunghoon. Nam Tae Hyun composed and arranged both of the tracks.
WINNER will initiate promotions for the new album starting with Mnet's M! Countdown on Thursday, Feb. 4.
The group was formed by YG Entertainment in 2014 and consists five members - Kang Seung Yoon, Song Mino, Nam Tae Hyun, Kin Jinwoo, and Lee Seunghoon. Their debut album 2014 S/S was released on August 12, 2014. "Empty" was the title track.
